Digital Advertising / Video Advertising

Video ads without the production bill.

YouTube, Reels, Shorts, TikTok — video is where the attention went, and it no longer takes a film crew to advertise there. We write the scripts, turn phone footage into finished ads, test the openings, and put budget behind the versions that produce customers.

What's included in Video Advertising

01

Scripts and concepts written for you

Every video ad starts on paper: the hook in the first seconds, the lines, the shot list. Most video ads fail in the script, not the footage — viewers decide in about three seconds whether to keep watching, so the opening gets more of our attention than anything else.

What ships

  • Ad scripts with hooks, lines, and shot lists ready to film
  • Multiple opening variations per concept, because the first seconds decide everything
  • Concepts matched to placement — what works as a Reel dies as a pre-roll, and vice versa
02

Production without a production company

When a shot needs you, your team, or your work, the script tells you exactly what to film on a phone — usually minutes per shot. We handle the rest: editing, captions, music, pacing, and the format variants each platform wants. Real footage from your business routinely outperforms polished commercials in the feed.

What ships

  • Phone-shootable direction — no crew, no studio day
  • Editing, captions, and sound: raw clips in, finished ads out
  • Each ad cut to the formats and lengths its placements require
03

Placement across the video surfaces

One campaign, several places attention lives: YouTube pre-roll and Shorts, Instagram and Facebook Reels, TikTok. We run the placements that fit your customer and your offer — not every surface deserves your budget, and we'll say which ones don't.

What ships

  • Campaign setup and management on YouTube, Meta, and TikTok video placements
  • Targeting built from what a customer is worth, not from reach for its own sake
  • Placement-level reporting so you see where customers actually come from
04

Hooks tested, winners scaled

Every video ad runs against a second version of itself — usually the same body with a different opening, because the hook is where video ads are won or lost. The version that produces customers gets the budget; the loser gets replaced by a new challenger.

What ships

  • Every concept live in multiple hook variations from day one
  • Budget moved weekly toward the cuts that produce results
  • A rolling creative pipeline so winners always have a successor in test
05

A landing page behind every campaign

A watched video is only worth what happens after the tap. Every campaign gets a page that matches its ad — same offer, same words, one next step — because sending video traffic to a homepage is how view counts stay views.

What ships

  • Dedicated, mobile-first landing page per campaign
  • Tracking wired before launch: every call, booking, and sale traced to its ad
  • Monthly report led by customers and cost per result — views sit underneath

How it works

01

The call

Fifteen minutes. What you sell, who buys it, and what a customer is worth. That scopes the concepts, the placements, and the starting budget.

02

Scripts and build

We write the scripts and hook variations, you film the short list of shots on a phone, and we edit, build the campaigns, and wire the tracking. Nothing goes live until you approve it.

03

On air and testing

Ads launch, hooks get tested, and budget concentrates on the cuts that produce customers. Fresh variations keep entering the rotation, and the monthly report tells you what ran, what it cost, and what it sold.

Why Spec Social for video advertising

The old equation — five figures for a commercial, then pray — is dead. Video advertising is now a volume-and-testing game: more concepts, more hooks, fast cuts on losers, budget following results weekly. Our whole production model is built for that cadence, which is why we can keep a creative pipeline running at a retainer price instead of a production-company price.

We're also placement-honest. An agency that bills per video wants you everywhere; we're paid the same either way, so we'll tell you when YouTube deserves your budget and Reels don't — or when video should wait until your search campaigns are caught up. The report is in customers, so bad placement advice would show up in our own numbers.

As always: your ad accounts stay yours, spend goes straight to the platforms with no markup, and every script, clip, and finished ad we produce belongs to you.

Pricing

Video advertising is included in retainers from $2,500 a month — scoped to your placements and creative volume on the discovery call.

  • Month to month.
  • Ad spend stays yours — paid straight to each platform, no markup.
  • You own every script, every edit, and every ad account.

Questions, answered.

Do I need a videographer or production crew?

No. The scripts tell you exactly what to shoot on a phone — usually a handful of short clips that take minutes each. We turn that footage into finished, captioned, platform-ready ads. If you already have professional footage, we'll gladly cut it into the rotation too.

Which platforms do you run video ads on?

YouTube (pre-roll and Shorts), Instagram and Facebook Reels, and TikTok. Which ones get your budget depends on who your customer is and what a sale is worth — that gets settled on the discovery call, and the placement-level numbers keep it honest afterward.

How long should a video ad be?

Shorter than most businesses want. In-feed placements usually win at fifteen to thirty seconds, and the first three seconds matter more than everything after them combined — which is why we test multiple hooks on every concept instead of debating length in the abstract.

Can you guarantee my video ads will perform?

No — nobody honest can promise performance on platforms whose auctions and algorithms shift weekly. What we control is what determines it: hook quality, testing volume, honest placement choices, and budget that follows results. You see it monthly in customers and cost per result, not in view counts.

How is this different from your TikTok ads service?

TikTok ads is one platform run deep. Video advertising is the cross-platform version — the same scripts-test-scale engine pointed at YouTube, Reels, Shorts, and TikTok together, with budget moving between platforms based on where customers actually come from. Most businesses start with one or two surfaces and expand from results.

How much does video advertising cost?

It's included in Spec Social retainers, which start at $2,500 a month — ad spend is separate and goes straight to the platforms. The exact retainer depends on placements and creative volume; you'll have the number by the end of the discovery call.
