Social Media / Social Design

A feed that looks like someone's in charge.

Customers check your profile before they call, and they judge it at a glance. We design the posts, the carousels, the covers, and the promos so everything on your accounts reads as one business — current, consistent, and worth trusting with money.

What's included in Social Design

01

Post and carousel design

Every post on the calendar that needs a graphic gets one designed for it — not pulled from a stock template library that half your competitors also use. Carousels built to be swiped, quote graphics built from real reviews, announcement posts that look like news instead of clip art.

What ships

  • Original graphics for every designed post on your calendar
  • Carousels structured to hold attention slide to slide
  • Review and testimonial graphics built from words real customers wrote
02

A brand system built for the feed

Consistency is what makes a grid scannable as one business. We set the colors, type, and layout rules your posts follow — derived from your existing brand if you have one, defined cleanly if you don't — so every post is recognizable as yours before anyone reads a word.

What ships

  • A social brand kit: colors, type, logo treatment, layout rules
  • Reusable post formats for the content types you publish most
  • A grid that looks deliberate when someone lands on your profile
03

Profile assets, everywhere customers look

The feed is half the impression; the frame around it is the other half. Profile images, cover photos, story highlight covers, pinned posts, and the photos on your Google Business Profile all get designed to match — so every surface a customer checks tells the same story.

What ships

  • Profile and cover images across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Story highlight covers and a pinned-post lineup that sells for you
  • Google Business Profile photos and cover kept consistent with the feed
04

Offer and promo creative

When you run a sale, book out a season, or announce something, the graphic shouldn't be the bottleneck. Promo creative turns around inside the same week — designed to the brand system, sized for every placement, and dropped straight onto the calendar.

What ships

  • Promotional and seasonal graphics on a same-week turnaround
  • Event, hiring, and announcement posts designed on request
  • Every promo sized for feed, story, and GBP in one pass
05

Ad-ready versions of everything

A design that works in the feed should be one step from working as an ad. Anything we design can ship in ad-ready formats — correct sizes, safe zones, and text treatment for every placement — so when a post earns paid budget, the creative is ready the same day.

What ships

  • Designs exported for every placement: feed, story, reel cover, GBP
  • Ad-format variants with placement-safe text and sizing
  • Source files organized and owned by you

How it works

01

The brand pass

We collect what exists — logo, colors, photos, anything you've had made — and fill the gaps. If there's no brand to speak of, we define a clean, simple system on the call notes rather than making you buy a rebrand first.

02

The system build

Brand kit, post formats, and profile assets ship in the first weeks. Your profiles get refreshed across every platform at once, so the upgrade is visible immediately — design ships in days; the trust it builds compounds over months.

03

Design on the calendar

From then on, design runs as part of the publishing rhythm: every planned post that needs a graphic gets one before the week starts, promos turn around same-week, and the system evolves as we see what your audience responds to.

Why Spec Social for social design

Design agencies hand you a folder of templates and leave; the feed goes stale the month the folder runs out. Here, design lives inside the publishing system — the same calendar that schedules your posts schedules their graphics, so design is never the reason a post didn't ship.

We're also clear-eyed about what design does. A good-looking feed doesn't sell by itself — it makes everything else convert better. The person who found you on Google checks your Instagram before calling; the ad click looks at your profile before trusting the offer. Design is the trust layer under every other channel we run for you, which is exactly why it shouldn't be bought separately from them.

Pricing

Social design is included in retainers from $2,500 a month — volume and scope set by your calendar on the discovery call.

  • Month to month.
  • Profile refresh across every platform in the first weeks.
  • You own every design and every source file.

Questions, answered.

Do I need a logo or brand guidelines first?

No. If you have them, we design inside them. If you don't, we define a simple, clean system as part of the first weeks — colors, type, layout rules — enough to make every post recognizably yours. A full rebrand is never a prerequisite for looking professional on social.

Will my feed end up looking like everyone else's templates?

That's specifically what we're avoiding. Stock template libraries are why so many local businesses look identical online. Your formats get built from your brand system, your photos, and your customers' words — reusable for speed, but not recognizable from anyone else's feed.

What about the photos and videos themselves?

Design covers the graphics, layouts, and treatments; the raw photos and footage come from you, from what we direct you to shoot, or from the content creation side of the engine. Real photos of your work consistently outperform stock — we design around them rather than replacing them.

How fast can you turn around a promo graphic?

Planned promos go on the calendar like everything else. For something unplanned — a flash offer, a hiring push, an announcement — same-week is the standard, and faster when it's genuinely urgent. The brand system is what makes that speed possible without quality dropping.

Do I approve designs before they're used?

Yes. Designs go through the same approval flow as posts — you see everything before it publishes and request changes from your phone. After the system settles in the first month or two, most clients approve in one weekly glance.

How much does social design cost?

It's included in Spec Social retainers, which start at $2,500 a month. The exact number depends on design volume and how many platforms your calendar covers — you'll have it by the end of the discovery call.
