Social Media / Social Content Creation
The content is done before you'd have started.
The hardest part of social isn't posting — it's making the thing to post. We write the scripts, the captions, and the hooks, direct what to shoot, and turn your raw phone footage into edited, captioned content. Your part takes minutes a week.
What's included in Social Content Creation
Short-form scripts, camera-ready
Every Reel and TikTok starts as a script you can read off your phone: what to say, how to open, when to stop. No improvising, no twenty takes, no staring at the lens wondering how to start. Most owners film a batch in one short session and are done for weeks.
What ships
- Scripts written for your services and the questions customers actually ask
- Hooks tested against what's working in your industry right now
- Shot notes — where to stand, what to show, how long to talk
Editing, captions, and covers
You send the raw clip; it comes back finished. Cuts tightened, on-screen captions added so it works with the sound off, cover frame chosen so it looks right in your grid — then posted on the calendar without you touching it again.
What ships
- Full edit of every clip: trims, pacing, on-screen text
- Burned-in captions for sound-off viewing
- Cover images and titles for grid and search
Captions and post copy in your voice
Captions get written from how you actually talk to customers — the words you use on the phone, not the words agencies use in decks. Hooks that earn the first line, hashtags that match real search behavior, and a call to action that fits what the post is for.
What ships
- Every caption written, not templated
- Hashtag sets built per post, refreshed as performance shifts
- A voice doc that keeps every writer and every post consistent
Photo and footage direction
Your phone already shoots well enough for social — what's missing is knowing what to capture. We send shot lists matched to the upcoming calendar: the before-and-after, the process moment, the detail customers ask about. Ten minutes on a job site feeds weeks of content.
What ships
- Shot lists tied to the next month's planned posts
- Guidance on framing, lighting, and what to skip
- A shared drop folder — send footage from your phone, we handle the rest
Repurposing — one effort, many posts
Good content shouldn't publish once and die. One filmed answer becomes a Reel, a TikTok, a quote graphic, and a Google Business Profile update. A page from your website becomes a carousel. The calendar stays full without the content treadmill speeding up.
What ships
- Every video cut and reformatted for each platform it fits
- Carousels and graphics built from your existing pages and reviews
- An archive of evergreen posts that can re-run when weeks get thin
How it works
Voice and angles
We learn how you talk and what your customers ask — from the discovery call, your reviews, and the questions that hit your phone every week. That becomes the voice doc and the first list of content angles.
Batch and approve
A month of scripts and captions lands at once. You read them, flag anything that doesn't sound like you, and approve. Filming happens in one or two short sessions on your phone — or we work from photos and footage you already have.
Send, edited, posted
Raw clips go in the drop folder; finished posts come out on the calendar. Each month the angles get sharper because the report shows which formats and topics your audience actually responds to.
Why Spec Social for content creation
Content dies at the blank page. Every owner who quit social quit at the same spot: standing in front of a camera with nothing scripted, or staring at an empty caption box at 9 PM. We remove that spot entirely — the script exists before you film, the caption exists before the post is due, and your only jobs are reading, approving, and pressing record.
We're also honest about production value. Feeds reward clear and frequent over cinematic and rare — a well-scripted phone video posted weekly beats a produced shoot posted quarterly. We build for the format that actually wins, and when something genuinely needs heavier production, we say so instead of upselling it by default.
And because the same team writes your website copy and your video scripts, the content compounds: the question answered in a Reel becomes a page that ranks, and the page that ranks becomes next month's carousel. One message, working everywhere it can.
Pricing
Content creation is included in retainers from $2,500 a month — volume, formats, and video mix scoped on the discovery call.
- Month to month.
- You approve every script and caption before anything publishes.
- You own every script, edit, and asset we produce.
Questions, answered.
Do you film the videos?
No — you film on your phone, and the script makes that easy: it tells you exactly what to say and how to shoot it, and reading one takes a few minutes. We handle everything after the record button — editing, captions, covers, posting. Photos and footage you already have work too.
What if I hate being on camera?
You don't have to be. Job-site footage with a voiceover, before-and-after sequences, designed carousels, customer-question graphics — plenty of formats carry a feed without a face. We build the mix around what you'll actually sustain, because content you dread making is content that stops.
How much of my time does this take?
Minutes a week. Approving a month of scripts and captions is one sitting; filming a batch is one short session, typically every few weeks. Everything else — writing, editing, scheduling, posting — happens without you.
Will the content sound like me or like an agency?
Like you — that's the point of the voice work in month one. We write from your phrasing and the questions you answer daily, then adjust until you stop editing the drafts. You approve everything, so nothing that sounds off ever ships.
Can you promise a video will go viral?
No, and nobody honest can — platforms decide what they amplify. What we control is the craft that gives content its best shot: hooks that stop the scroll, formats the platform currently favors, and a posting rhythm that lets winners emerge. When something does take off, we cut more of it and put paid budget behind it.
How much does social content creation cost?
It's included in Spec Social retainers, which start at $2,500 a month. The exact number depends on volume, formats, and how much video is in the mix — you'll have it by the end of the discovery call.
